PDF OCR 4.3

PDF OCR is based on OCR technology to convert scanned PDF paper books and documents into editable electronic text files fast and easily. PDF OCR has a build-in text editor which allows you to edit ocr result text without MS Word.

PDF OCR also supports batch mode to OCR all pages of pdf file to text at a time. PDF OCR has a Scanned Image To PDF Converter, which means you can create your own scanned PDF books.

Add multi-cpu processing, for a very effective speed-up.

Use all CPUs to do the conversion. Since each page is converted to TIFF an then processed by ocr.exe, it should be a simple addition that would provide a very good speed-up even on older hardware.

It would help if the registration worked on this giveaway. I have now tried 5 times and it said success each time, restarted, and was not registered. Running Win 7 on a Dell.

Create a better algorithm that can read basic/common fonts! Tested on a PDF created from within a word processor and it still had multiple errors!

Add ability to select page regions to be OCR'ed

If the PDF has two book pages per scanned page it comes out a mess; if there are images it tries to turn them into text. Unless you have nearly perfect clean scanned single pages expect to do a lot of cleanup of the results.
